This policy explains how payments work on myemberly.com, what payment methods we accept, and how we protect your transaction. Placing an order on myemberly.com means you've agreed to these terms.

ACCEPTED PAYMENT METHODS

We offer a variety of secure payment options to make checkout quick and easy. You can complete your purchase using any of the following:

All transactions are processed in U.S. Dollars (USD). If you pay with a card or account in a different currency, your bank or payment provider will apply their own exchange rate and fees, which are outside our control.

AUTHORIZATION AND CARDHOLDER CONFIRMATION

  • You are the authorized holder of the payment method used, or you have explicit permission from the cardholder to use it
  • The billing information you provided is true, accurate, and current
  • You are at least 18 years of age
  • You authorize Emberly to charge the full order amount, including any applicable taxes and shipping fees, to the payment method provided

Orders placed with unauthorized payment methods, false information, or by anyone under the age of 18 will be canceled and refunded. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order, at our discretion, if we suspect fraud or unauthorized use of a payment method.

PAYMENT SECURITY

Your payment information is protected by SSL encryption across our entire site. We do not see, handle, or store your full credit card number on our servers at any point. All transactions are processed through Shopify Payments and the other PCI-compliant payment gateways listed above — the same security standards used by millions of online stores worldwide.

PENDING CHARGES AND AUTHORIZATION HOLDS

When you place an order, your bank or payment provider may place a temporary authorization hold on your account equal to the order total. This is normal and is not an additional charge. The hold confirms that funds are available and is converted to a final charge once your order ships. If your order is canceled or declined, the hold is released by your bank, typically within 3 to 7 business days depending on the institution.

You may temporarily see both a pending authorization and a final charge on your statement. This is not a double charge. The pending authorization will drop off your statement automatically.

DECLINED PAYMENTS AND FAILED TRANSACTIONS

If your payment is declined, no order has been placed and no kit will be shipped. Common reasons for declines include incorrect billing address, insufficient funds, a hold placed by your bank, or a mismatch between the billing address and the address on file with your card issuer. If you receive an order confirmation email, your payment was successful. If you did not receive an order confirmation within one hour of attempted checkout, your payment most likely did not go through. Contact us at support@myemberly.com if you are unsure.

CARD STATEMENT DESCRIPTOR

When your order is charged, the charge will appear on your bank or credit card statement as EMBERLY or EMBERLY*MYEMBERLY.COM. If you do not recognize this charge but believe you placed an order, please contact us at support@myemberly.com before contacting your bank — we can confirm the charge details immediately, often within minutes.

TAXES AND ADDITIONAL FEES

Applicable U.S. sales tax is calculated at checkout based on your shipping address and local regulations. We do not charge any additional processing, handling, or service fees. The price you see at checkout is the price you pay.

REFUNDS AND PAYMENT DISPUTES

All refunds are issued to the original payment method used at checkout. We cannot issue refunds to a different card, account, or payment method under any circumstances. Refund timing and processing details are governed by our Refund and Return Policy.

If you have a problem with a charge, please contact us at support@myemberly.com before filing a dispute with your bank or credit card company. We respond to every email within one business day and resolve almost every issue within 48 hours. Our 90-day money-back guarantee means a refund through our return process is always faster than a chargeback. Chargebacks filed without first contacting us will be disputed using full order documentation, including IP address, billing and shipping records, AVS results, delivery confirmation, and communications history.

FRAUD PREVENTION

All orders are screened for fraud signals at the time of purchase, including Address Verification Service (AVS) checks, billing-to-shipping comparison, IP geolocation, and device fingerprinting. Orders that fail these checks may be held for manual review, require additional verification, or be canceled and refunded in full. This screening protects both legitimate cardholders and Emberly from unauthorized transactions.
